Guy Fawkes Night celebrates the night Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. Though the attempt was unsuccessful, it’s still a cause for celebration to this day. Many people celebrate with bonfires and fireworks, either at home or at organised displays. This year, if you fancy celebrating a little differently, come along to one of the many celebrations in Stirling and Dunblane. With plenty of activities to entertain the kids, the whole family can enjoy the festivities together.
Bridge of Allan Fireworks
A family favourite, Bridge of Allan hosts another spectacular fireworks display this year. This event is a must-see for everyone, especially the kids. Gates open at 5:45 on 4th November, with live music from Hue and Cry - it’s a great way to spend your Thursday evening! Adult tickets are only £5 and children's tickets are only £2 - it’s the very best show at the very best price!
Callendar Park Fireworks
Another family-friendly fireworks display is at Callendar Park on 5th November. There will be performances from Falkirk Youth Dance, 5 Strings and Patryns - it’s the place to be. The display starts at 6:30pm and finishes at 7:55pm, perfect for young kids and parents. Entrance is free so everyone can enjoy!
Transitions Woodland Light Show
The children's favourite event by far, located in Balfron, this outdoor light show takes place between 4th November and 20th November. Using sound, light, music and water, the 14-acre woodland dazzles with beautiful projections. Every evening display starts at 4:30pm but the forest is open right up to 8:30pm for you to enjoy after the show . Tickets start at £12 for adults and £6 for kids. This is a truly magical experience not to be missed.

Led by your very own “undead” tour guide you’ll learn all about the criminals who once resided here. The walk runs from 4th November to 5th November from 8pm.There may not be any fireworks but it’s still scarily good fun! Tickets are only £6 for adults or £14 for a family.
