Born and bred in Dunblane Sir Andy Murray had a post box painted gold in his honour after winning gold at the 2012 London Olympics.



Stirling Castle

No visit to Dunblane is complete without a trip to Stirling Castle, which has been named Scotland's 'Best Visitor Attraction' at the inaugural 2016 Scottish Outdoor and Leisure Awards. Transport yourself back to the 16th Century with a guided tour of the castle brought to you by the castle's former famous inhabitants including William Wallace. After you have toured the inside of the castle take a walk around the outside and see spectacular views across Stirling. The castle can be reached by train or car from the hotel in less than 30 minutes.

After lunch take a walk to Dunblane Cathedral one of the most popular attractions in the town. Built in the 12th century this stunning piece of architecture is steeped in history. Take a walk through the ornate choir stalls and gaze up at the beautiful stained glass windows.
